Surf Coast Lawyer

Meet Bex

Welcome! I‘m Rebecca McAllum, more commonly known as Bex, the Principal Lawyer and founder of Jan Juc Legal on the Surf Coast, Victoria.

I’m a Juc local, and originally from New Zealand. I’m also a keen surfer and spend a lot of time in and around the water. I founded Jan Juc Legal with the goal of transforming the way people approach seeking legal advice and their experience with the law.

While many people shy away from seeking legal advice early —which unfortunately often leads to disastrous results, both emotionally and financially — at Juc Legal we want to encourage people to feel curious and brave enough to seek proactive legal advice.

A bit about what we do at Juc Legal.

We offer services in contract law, wills + estate planning, commercial and business law, and employment law We enjoy the mix of work and creative solutions we need to conjure up for our clients.

We love assisting businesses, employers, creatives and entrepreneurs, whether they are starting out, beginning to grow their wings, or those preparing to step up to the next level.

And, while it’s can be a difficult conversation at times, we are also passionate about transforming the way people approach wills and estate planning. It’s a topic too many people ignore or have on their to-do list for way too long. We have seen the repercussions of poorly drafted wills, and are true believers in empowering people to take control of their future planning with confidence.

Background + experience

With a broad background in litigation and providing legal advice in administrative and public law, corporate law, commercial + business law, criminal law, human rights law and OHS regulatory matters (to name just a few), Bex has consistently prioritised transparency and integrity throughout her 15 year career in the legal field.
